I live in rural Leicestershire surrounded by a close family consisting of four children and their respective partners, dogs, horses, hens and a small herd of British White cattle. Their various demands have to be fitted in with running the family engineering business and my writing career which I have been doing for over thirty year in a variety of styles and genres.

Journalism for the Leicester Mercury and other weekly papers, writing news items and features on rural nostalgia.
Special interest articles for the farming and countryside press mainly covering sheep, cattle and folklore.
General interest articles for various magazines and websites on all kinds of subjects, but a significant amount on travel destinations.
Lots of articles for websites and ebooks on various subjects including creative and freelance writing.
I’ve also written extensively for the business sector supplying brochure copy, SEO articles, web copy and press releases.
As well as self publishing I’ve also been commission to write two books on sheep keeping, Showing Sheep published by Goodlife Press and Lambs For The Freezer published by Crowood Press
Sleet, Shoots & Leaves – A photographic and poetical journey through the National Forest was self published as was The Killing Tree – Multi-author novel, Fee-lance Writing and The Inbetween
